The food company today revealed a public survey of 30,000 people had selected Cheesybite over five other far less flamboyantly-named contenders than the iSnack2.0.
Vegemite Cheesybite captured 36 percent of the vote to beat out nearest rivals Vegemite Smooth and Vegemite Vegemate.
The snack is a creamy cheesed flavoured vegemite that promises a smoother texture.

The Original VEGEMITE has virtually 0% fat content. Most spreads have a higher fat content, including VEGEMITE CHEESYBITE, however VEGEMITE CHEESYBITE with its blend of Vegemite and cream cheese has a lot less than most. But how big a difference depends on how you use it.
If you normally use butter or margarine when you spread the Original VEGEMITE, the difference is small. There are a couple of reasons why. The cream cheese in VEGEMITE CHEESYBITE means you don’t need to use butter or margarine. A 13g serve of VEGEMITE CHEESYBITE provides approximately 2g of fat, while one 5-10g serve of margarine or butter has 4-8gm fat. So it’s perfect to spread on sandwiches, crackers, fresh vegetables, almost anything, anytime.
Also, because VEGEMITE CHEESYBITE is very spreadable it doesn’t have to be layered on thick. A little goes a long way in flavour.
We have kept the sodium in VEGEMITE CHEESYBITE to a reasonable level to ensure we don’t compromise flavour or food safety. A serve of VEGEMITE CHEESYBITE contains about 186mg of sodium or approximately 8% of an adequate daily intake, which compares favourably to a serve of VEGEMITE at 173mg (without butter or margarine).
The ‘bite’ is more about the snacking enjoyment of VEGEMITE CHEESYBITE. The cream cheese makes this a totally different VEGEMITE taste experience - smoother and creamier but still with that unmistakeable VEGEMITE taste.
