When I was 14 years old, my class at school travelled to the Tongariro National Park, and spent a week tramping all around this area.
In particular, I liked this day walk - it was hard, but very rewarding. The best thing I liked was the blue and green emerald lakes. You can just see the green emerald lake at the bottom of this photograph....
