The House:
Play in the garden or explore the rooms in the house. Listen to the town crier in the hall call the hour. Play in the play room or go to the lounge and listen to the Bear Orchestra play some of your favorite nursery rhymes. And if you want something a bit more upbeat, head to the study to jam with the Bears Blues Band.
Play hide-and-seek with Ted, who could be hiding anywhere in the house. But Ted is good at hiding, so you might have to click on Floppy for clues.
Find the many hidden objects like the bi-plane, hot air balloon and the flying saucer. This house is full of fun and surprises and wherever you go there's always lots of things to do.
Words and Pictures:
Match the words to the pictures, then watch the animation and listen to the sounds when you get it right.
Learn what some of the things found around the house are called. Improve spelling. Words are pronounced, then each letter is highlighted and recited.

Read along with Ted & Floppy's story book.
Improve reading skills as words are highlighted and read aloud Increase word recognition. Click on any word to hear it pronounced. Lots of humor, sound effects and animations.
Play Your Own Music:
Use the mouse or keyboard to play you own tunes.
Choose from six instruments. Learn what each note is called. Print out sheet music of well known nursery rhymes. From a choice of 4 keys, C, D, F, or G major select the correct key for the tune.

Our View.
First and foremost, I loved the Bears and their instruments. This is the first program for children that I have seen that really allows children not only to see and hear different instruments but also lets them watch as that instrument is played (along with others) in a musical piece.
As many our customers are in the US and this game is from New Zealand, I was wondering how it would transfer, well I have to tell you that not only did it transfer well but also the younger kids never even noticed the different accent. Here is what the kids have to say.
Megan (12) "I liked the bears they are really cute. They have cute accents."
Brandon (almost 9) "I like doing the maze. "
Jake (almost 5), "The maze is fun and so is finding the bear."
MaryJo (4) "I like it when you match the words to the pictures (with help from me, mom). I also like the songs and clicking on stuff. I think is fun when you get to play tag with the bear in the story."
Lacey (almost 4) "I like to hear the story (which is read to her by the program) and click on things in it."
Eric (2) He goes absolutely nuts when he listens to the bears play different songs. He sits in my lap and jumps up and down and points to the screen and squeals "bear bear!!"
Other things I noticed the kids enjoying were lighting the candles on the birthday cake, feeding the bear grapes, mixing colors with the bears, and clicking on the pictures in the rooms and watching them change. This program is big and will grow with the younger ones as they get older.
Overall impression.
With the story, music, games, clickable surprises, and beautiful artwork (including a ton of cute bears), this is a must buy for anyone with young children.
In the age of huge software companies producing most of the children's software out there today, it amazes me that this program (just as good, or better than most software out there) was created (including the programming, production, and animation) by only one man Tim Tripp. His entire Company includes only one other person (his wife Alli) who does quality and user tests.
It also occurred to me that any older child, who loved music, bears, or both would also enjoy this program.
