The 5 x 7 wooden photo/picture frame shown in photograph is made with Rimu wood, and has a paua (abalone) shell inlay shaped in a 'leaf' pattern.

You can also select to have this frame in Kauri wood. (Rimu is a darker color and a harder wood than Kauri. Kauri has a honey glow to it, and is a softer wood).

Native New Zealand Rimu is a particular hard wood. A lot of time goes into inlaying the paua shell (it is a painstaking job) into the frame, and the finished result is beautiful, and really offsets the wood for your enjoyment .
