An affiliate program is when you, the website owner, link to our site using a special URL, that we provide, earning you a commission on all sales which result from your link. Joining the Products From New Zealand.com affiliate program is a fun and easy way to make extra money without doing a lot of extra work! (Obviously the more you work at anything, then you will get more results - in this case - more money, and very satisfied customers. There is no such thing as a free lunch :-) You 'round out' your website, by providing complimentary items from our site on it - giving your customer(s) one-stop-shop capability, and satisfaction. The gift and product items you will be promoting are truly unique and interesting, and are only made in New Zealand. This makes them very desireable to your customers, and will give your website the opportunity to promote items that are NOT mass produced, are typically HANDMADE, and require only LITTLE EFFORT TO SELL to your customers. Think about this. You don't need to worry about any of the following: Nothing! The affiliate program is free to join and you can change your mind and cancel your account at any time. Anyone with a website can submit an application to our affiliate program and jump into the world of e-commerce today! Your site doesn't need to be sophicated or sell anything to date, in fact some of our best affiliates have websites that are information based sites, and they embed the links to our site in the text. (For example their site talks about artifacts from indigenous people around the world and they refer people to our site when they talk about a certain item / product. This is a very effective technique). We will review all potential websites before acceptance into our program. You will be given an affiliate code as soon as you have signed up, however we have the right to review and revoke this relationship for the following reasons. Please note that we will refuse any site that contains objectionable material, such as sites that promote: Yes! Absolutely. No matter where you are based in the world you can link through to our site as an approved affiliate. All pricing on the site is displayed next to each item in USD$ (United States) dollars as over 80% of all our retail sales from USA based customers. It is the universal currency in the world (until the one-world government takes over :-), and is easily understood by most people around the world. If the visitor is from another country, they can select to see the total transaction in their currency when they view their shopping basket. Please note that all commissions are calculated in New Zealand dollars. The Products From New Zealand.com webstore, re-calculates the retail (displayed) USD$ dollar sell price every 24 hours off the NZD$ price we have fixed behind the scenes. If you are based in the USA, we will either send you your commission via PayPal in USD$, or simply send you a check (cheque) which you can easily bank. Your website must be live and online at the time you apply. Yes! Assuming the nature of your ezine/newsletter(s) does not promote or endorse objectionable material as in Question (4) above. The other major reason is cost, all of the networks would charge some kind of start-up fee and an additional "over-ride" on all sales, effectively this is commission being taken from your pocket and into theirs. We believe we have a robust system in place and you can always use it in conjunction with a third party tracking system if you want verification of our honesty.

If all commission checks should be paid to the same company/individual, just list all your website’s addresses on your affiliate application. If your commissions are paid to different people, you will need separate affiliate accounts. In that case, please fill out an individual application for each applicable website. Will Products From New Zealand.com help me? Even though we won't be able to help you build your website or learn HTML, we've made linking to us easy! After you've applied to be an affiliate, contact Kristina for your FREE consultation and begin to choose from a variety of customized links or banners. From product lines to specialized theme pages, we have links that will enhance your site and earn you commissions. No HTML experience is necessary! We do all the work for you. All you have to do is decide how you want to link to Products From New Zealand.com. There can be as few or as many links as you like, but remember – the more sales you help create, the more money you make! We will provide you with (limited) technical support, links, a number of banners & extensive image library, and all the help you need to make the most of the program. The answer to this question is entirely up to you! Affiliates are rewarded based on performance so there is no limit to how much you can earn. Even better – you are paid regardless if you make $1 or $1,000's in commissions! We have affiliates who earn over NZD$2000 dollars a month with our program. You can to with a little effort. No. Unlike many other affiliate programs, we do not require our affiliates to meet any performance tiers to earn their fees. Once you are an affiliate, and assuming you keep your website, we will continue to have your as our affiliate. We do however, only pay out monthly if your commission fees has reached NZD$50 dollars or greater. Regardless of how much you have earned, we will pay out your commission owing, every quarter. (A minimum of 4 times a year). This saves overheads etc. You will receive between 10% to 15% commission paid to YOU, for the first order your referred customer(s) make, that is purchased through YOUR link(s) on Products From New Zealand.com items. (Over 80% of items will give a 15% commission :-). From then on a LIFETIME sliding commission scale is applied, ranging from 5% to 10% paid to YOU for ALL subsequent orders by your customer. (Over 80% of items will give a 10% subsequent orders commission :-). This is regardless of whether they come directly to our site or not in the future. This is potentially a huge $$ earner for you, with no effort on your behalf in the future! In ADDITION to this, if you introduce other website owners to join the Products From New Zealand.com affilate program, via your special Products From New Zealand.com affiliate code (please contact us before you do this to make sure you capitalize on this to the maximum), you will be paid between 2% to 5% BONUS commission on all of their referred affiliates' commissions. (Over 80% of items will give a 5% bonus commission :-).
No, we do not pay affiliates 2-tier commissions when referring themselves. This behavior is concerned as fraud and when identified, 2-tier commissions are cancelled for the offending associate. Payment schedules are based on commission amounts. If your commissions exceed NZD$50, you will receive a commission check/payout each month. If your commission balance is less than NZD$50, you will receive a check at the end of each calendar quarter (or approximately every three months.) We process the previous month's sales within the first 10 days of the month, and checks are mailed on or about the 10th of the month. Yes! Yes! Please contact the affiliate department at AffiliateSupport@ProductsFromNZ.com for more information. Please indicate this as one of your payment options when apply for your affiliate account. Either when you are filling out the payee address, write in your nominated charity/school/playcenter etc and we will automatically send the commission check/payments to them, or you can modify these details after joining the program. If a customer returns a product they purchased through one of your affiliate links for a refund, your account will be debited for the commission originally received for that item. If the customer exchanges their product, you will earn credit for the transaction. Your special affiliate link contains a tracking code, which reports to us when your visitor purchases through your links. These are tied into the person's contact details when they login on our site to purchase, therefore, even if they change computers/munch their computer cookies, we will still be able to identify them as coming from your site, and pay you out your deserved commission :-)
You should feature products that your visitors would be interested in. If your site is about photography, you should think about linking to the ProductsFromNZ.com 'Cards Posters Maps' Theme page, or possibly to a specific product line you are interested in (i.e. Posters or Cards). If you are tourist orientated site (Travel/Backpackers etc), then you should be encouraging people to purchase our maps/coffee table books/possum wool gloves etc - all very popular items that soon to visit New Zealand vistors purchase from us. Research suggests that linking to a specific page or area in a website greatly increases your chances of selling. With this in mind, you can link through to any page in our webstore you desire/want to promote on your site. From there, if your client then 'wanders through-out the site, and decides to purchase another item, you will still get the commission on this sale (just like you will get the commission if they purchase on another day/year from now - no matter what they purchase.) We are currently in the process of creating customized banners for you on an ongoing basis. These banners will feature select product lines, themes & occasions. However, the best link you can make to our site is NOT via a banner, but by you writing and featuring a photo of one of the items we sell. Then make the photo of that item an affiliate link to us, along with a 'call-for-action' sentence to encourage the person to click through to us. (For example: "If you are coming to New Zealand, and are intending to travel around by car, then you should purchase this book: 'Travelling around Scenic New Zealand'. Click here to learn more about it." You would then make the words "New Zealand, and are intending to travel around by car" along with "purchase this book: 'Travelling around Scenic New Zealand'. Click here to learn more" all hyperlinkable back to our site. It is really important that you don't just make the words 'Click here' the hyperlink portion.
